Open Positions

Open positions and projects include:

Graduate Student - Structural Virology

We are looking for a PhD student to study the replication cycle of viruses in infectious disease. You will be developing methods in electron microscopy to characterise viral interactions, so a strong background in the natural sciences will be required. In the process, you will learn techniques that include cryo-electron microscopy for single particle analysis, cryo-electron tomography, and cryo-FIB milling. Send your letter of interest and CV to Prof. Strauss -

Postdoctoral Fellow - Structural Virology of Picornavirus biology

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with a background in biochemistry or virology to work on a variety of structural projects on cell entry using poliovirus and other picornaviruses. I will teach you cryo-electron microscopy, and you will have a chance to work on novel approaches with international researchers. Send your letter of interest and CV to Prof. Strauss -
